2011 St. Paul Oratorio by Mendelssohn & This is Paulus in America
The art project St. Paul was initiated by an invitation to visualize Mendelssohn’s St. Paul Oratorio also for deaf people during Deutscher Evangelischer Kirchentag 2011 in Dresden. One of the many challenges was to confront a black box silhouette theatre against more than 400 plus musicians in an open-air concert. Supporting performances were realized during extensive road trips thru the Southwest of the United States of America. The latter was inspired by an unfinished film project on St. Paul by Paolo Pasolini. This part of the our project we called This is Paulus in America.
